Unanswered Prayer Course
Why Doesn’t God Seem to Answer My Prayers?
We’ve all wrestled with the silence of heaven—times when we’ve prayed, pleaded, and waited… but nothing seems to change. Prayer Course II: Unanswered Prayer is a five-week journey that dives deep into the hardest questions of faith: Where is God when we suffer? Why does He feel distant? How do we hold on to hope?
Through powerful videos, honest discussion, and biblical reflection on Jesus’ own experience of unanswered prayer, this course will help us process doubt, pain, and trust in God—even when we don’t understand.
Join us as we explore what it means to pray in the midst of life’s struggles and discover how hope rises, even in the waiting.

Ash Wednesday
Ash Wednesday begins the season of Lent and our journey to the cross together. We will have a time of worship, a message, and the imposition of ashes at the end of the service. The imposition of ashes is an ancient tradition in the Christian Church, where a sign of the cross is made on the forehead of believers to signify repentance and our identification with the sufferings of Christ. If you attend the service, it’s entirely optional to receive the ashes.
Childcare is provided.

Men’s Retreat
The Father’s Heart is an annual men’s gathering restoring spiritual sons to their Heavenly Father and helping them discover identity through Christ and encouragement in connection with fellow brothers.
Our identity as men is rooted in the Father’s heart. To be the men, fathers, husbands and sons we were created to be, we must know the Father and His heart toward us as sons. There is freedom, healing, peace and security in the Father’s heart. The Father’s heart restores brokeness and releases destiny into our lives.
This two day gathering frees men to be sons created in their Father’s image and releases hope for the journey. Make plans to be with us and discover the Father’s Heart for you…
Cabins: Cabins are bunk style (upper/lower) with indoor bathrooms & showers. Climate controlled. Linens not provided.
Parking: There is a designated parking area near the entrance to Camp Emmanuel. You can drive to the camping and cabin area to unload, then park in the designated lot. Thanks.
There is a camp fire pit which will probably be burning at night. Please, do not make fires anywhere else on the property. Thanks.
Mornings & Evenings can be cool this time of year. But hey, its North Carolina, so check the weather and dress accordingly. Bring a raincoat or umbrella in case of rain, or not. It is a men’s retreat. You are tough!
Dress is casual. Do your thing. Just wear clothes.

Alpha
Details
Alpha is a series of conversations about things we all question in life: Why do bad things happen to good people? What's the purpose of life? What's next?
Alpha brings together people from all walks of life who are curious about faith. Each session starts with some time to eat, relax and get to know your group.
Each session covers a different topic of faith, either in a short talk or video. The Alpha episodes are designed to engage and inspire conversation. They’re about thirty minutes long and explore the big issues around faith and unpack the basics of Christianity, addressing questions such as Who is Jesus?, How can we have faith?, and How does God guide us?
The last part of an Alpha is a chance to share your thoughts on the session’s topic and discuss it in your small groups. It’s an open and welcoming environment, no matter what your opinion. There’s no pressure to say anything, but the floor is yours if you do want to.
